Our Aims For The U13 Squad
We try to instil the following qualities in all our players:
1. A belief that PERFORMANCES are more important than RESULTS.
2. A positive attitude and team orientated character.
3. A curiosity for the game and willingness to give 100% to reach their potential.
4. The ability to concentrate and blank out the distractions that hinder performance.
5. The open mindedness to re-educate themselves and experiment.
6. The desire to win but not at all costs.
7. A belief that leadership qualities and setting examples are an important aspect of a player’s game.
8. The desire to play attacking football.
9. The desire to work hard for their team mates.
10. Respect for their team mates, opponents and all match officials.
The three coaches of this squad give 100% to create an environment in which every player that has the right attitude can reach his or her full potential. We reject the belief that British youngsters do not have the potential to compete with their Continental counterparts in terms of technical ability and game understanding.
